Plum 1 adopts a different focus to the eConsult system. Our focus is placed on enhancing internal clinical processes and communication between medical practitioners and specialists. Our solution increases access to specialist care and relieves existing delayed access to care by specialists, delayed diagnosis and duplication of services in a high demand clinical environment.
Plum 1 creates a standardised experience for all software solutions (Software SASs CLOUD Solution, Office 356 and On Premise).
How Does it Work?
The Plum 1 service is provided through a secure web-based application that enables asynchronous consultation between medical practitioners and specialists.
Medical practitioners log into the application, enter a patient-specific clinical question into an electronic form, and select the most appropriate speciality group from a drop-down list. Supplementary files can be attached including images, test results, and health histories..
A designated eConsult Dashboard administrator directs the clinical question to an appropriate specialist from the chosen speciality group according to availability and caseload. The eConsult Dashboard administrator can also filter through electronic forms by ‘status’ and ‘Doctor’.
The specialist is notified via email and is expected to respond with expert advice. Form is then marked as complete by Medical practitioner.
An eConsult Dashboard administrator can generate PDF for reporting and IEMR records management.
